Please join us in welcoming our newest product to the Shop: Plant Food!
If you've visited us at the farmers market or another recent event, you may have already met this new addition to our offerings. Crafted with plant lovers in mind, Plant Food is a blend of super-finely-screened ScrapDogs compost and nutrient-dense worm castings – the perfect supplement for your overtaxed houseplants or lackluster potting soil.
Both the compost and worm castings are created in-house by the ScrapDogs team (including thousands of our wriggling colleagues 🪱), and we're excited to share this newest offering with our community!

Three More Weeks at the Rockland Farmers Market
Don't miss us at market on Thursday mornings (9am–1pm) down at Harbor Park in Rockland, where we'll chat your ear off about compost, worms, and beyond. The market runs through October, but we'll only be there for the rest of June!

We've Still Got *Hemlock* Bark Mulch!
Looking to spruce up your finally-blooming flower beds? Consider ordering some bark mulch for delivery! We're now sold out of the mixed-hardwood option for the spring, but we still have a supply of lovely red-brown hemlock bark mulch for your mulching needs. A great solution for weed suppression, moisture retention, and temperature moderation, this mulch is sourced from local lumber mills, screened at 2 inches, and contains no dyes or additives.
Composter Shout-Out: Worms!

If you think way back to elementary school science class, you might remember learning about the food web and decomposers, who break down organic matter and reintroduce it to the ecosystem as nutrients.
We have thousands of decomposers to thank for the composting process, and one of them is worms! Worm poops or "castings" are particularly nutrient-dense, full of beneficial microbes, and offer a natural, non-synthetic way of enlivening plant growth and distributing energy in local ecosystems. Thank you worms! 🪱
