Are You Ready to Party?
We hope you can make it to our Compost Party & Customer Appreciation Event on Sunday, November 8th at Viles Arboretum! Swing by for a fun raffle, free snacks, and general compost shenanigans 🥳

Final Call for Fall Compost Orders
Ready or not, the cold weather is coming, and bulk delivery season is wrapping up! If you've been hemming and hawing on ordering a fall bulk order, now's the time: bulk compost and mulch deliveries end on November 1st. Don't miss your chance to keep your garden soils protected through the winter and boosted for spring planting. Submit an order today and schedule your delivery!
It's NOT Compostable: Green Bags!
A friendly reminder that green "biodegradable" plastic bags can't be composted with ScrapDogs. Unfortunately, these and other bio-plastic and coated paper products risk contaminating our piles with PFAS and micro-plastics, and void our organic certification through MOFGA.
Instead, try using a brown paper bag as a liner - or skip the liner altogether!

ScrapDogs Ventures Forward!
We're excited to have been accepted into the Roux Institute's small business development program, Venture Forward Rockland. In partnership with the City of Rockland, the Roux provides a handful of local businesses with expert mentorship, learning opportunities, and resources to help them "design, refine, and activate growth strategies tailored to their goals." The program launched this month, and continues through December. Wish us luck!
Composter Shout-Out: Bartlett Woods

This week's composter shout-out goes to Bartlett Woods Retirement Community in Rockland! Bartlett Woods provides housing and services for adults age 55 and older in a peaceful and harmonious environment. Their commitment to sustainability and quality of life for their residents has driven them to compost their food waste with us since 2025. Thank you, folks!
