THANK YOU Lobster Festival Volunteers!
We couldn't be more grateful for all of the positivity, hard work, and good humor our Lobster Fest volunteers brought this past week!
Over the course of the 5-day festival, we collected over 10 yards of lobster shells, corn cobs, and other scrapped scraps (plus, lots of manure from the petting zoo!). We couldn't have done it without our amazing team. Thanks, y'all!
Pre-Order Fall Compost

Our compost is approved for organic use by MOFGA, made from Maine food scraps, and peat-free.
Top-dress existing garden beds with 1–2" of compost to boost plant growth and health, retain water and nutrients, build organic matter in your soil, and sequester atmospheric CO2. You can also mix compost with two parts loam to fill raised beds, planters, or pots, or add big handfuls to your hole when planting trees and shrubs.
Composter Shout-Out: Thomaston Public Library Camp
Three cheers for libraries – and the Thomaston Public Library in particular! Not only does the Library offer seemingly infinite public services (free resources, a warm/cool respite, gathering space, wifi, programming, community connection......), it composts too!
We visited the Thomaston Public Library's summer camp a few weeks back and chatted with the campers and counselors about how composting works, what materials can biodegrade, and why it matters – and they've been successfully composting with us ever since!
