PILOT PROGRAM
JUMP TO: HOW IT WORKS WHAT'S IN THE BOX FAQS

FRESH FOOD, RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR
Here at ScrapDogs, we're working to build a local circular economy, where food is grown, consumed, and recycled – to grow more food!
To help support a healthy local food system here in Maine, we're launching a new pilot program for our customers, where they can receive deliveries of fresh food from local growers right to their door.
Â
HOW IT WORKS

Starting in January 2021, existing ScrapDogs customers will have the option of signing up for ScrapDogs’ Food Box Pilot Program. Customers who enroll in the program will get their food delivered right to their door, alongside their ScrapDogs compost bucket.

This Pilot Program is just the start! We're launching the program in Camden to start, but hope to expand to the rest of our service area and beyond in the near future.

FAQs
How much does a Food Box
subscription cost?
Everything in your box comes to you for $40 per delivery. This means that a weekly subscription costs $160/month, and a bi-weekly subscription costs $80/month.
Can I customize what's in my Box?
For the Pilot Program, we're standardizing what's in everyone's Boxes each week. In other words, your Box will look different from week to week, but the contents will be the same as any other Box. This makes ordering and packing a bit more streamlined, and gives us time to work out any kinks. That said, we definitely want to hear your thoughts and feedback about the items you're receiving so we can continue improving the program!
How long does the Pilot Program last?
In short: until further notice! We hope to continue taking on new customers each month and making adjustments to the program based on feedback.
How do you source your products?
Our goal for this program is to provide our customers with local, healthy foods, and support Maine farmers and producers. To get our Pilot Program off the ground, we are working with Crown O'Maine distributors to purchase a variety of Maine-made products. As our program grows, we hope to build even more direct relationships with farmers and producers.
Are all of the products included in the Food Box certified organic?
A big piece of our mission is to support a sustainable food system in Maine. Where possible, we prioritize certified organic products and farms that practice organic methods over conventional alternatives. That said, not all of our products will be certified organic.
