THE FOOD BOX
PILOT PROGRAM
FRESH FOOD, RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR
Here at ScrapDogs, we're working to build a local circular economy, where food is grown, consumed, and recycled – to grow more food!
To help support a healthy local food system here in Maine, we're launching a new pilot program for our customers, where they can receive deliveries of fresh food from local growers right to their door.
HOW IT WORKS
Existing ScrapDogs customers in Camden, Rockport, Rockland, and Thomaston now have the option of signing up for ScrapDogs’ Food Box Pilot Program. Customers who sign up will get food delivered right to their door, alongside their ScrapDogs compost bucket.
The Pilot Program has been going for a few months now, and we've adjusted our food delivery services according to the feedback
we've received. We've expanded the area we deliver food to and the subscriptions we offer too! Keep scrolling to explore your options.

FAQs
Where do you deliver food?
As of right now, only customers in Camden, Rockport, Rockland, and Thomaston are able to subscribe to the Food Box Pilot Program. However, all pickup customers are able to order à la carte items to be delivered on their next pickup day!
Can I choose what's in my Box?
In short: kind of! Each Box (the Big Box, the Bread-Eggs-Cheese Box, the Salad Box, and the Specialty Box) will be standardized each week. However, you can choose to order additional à la carte items from the Shop, and they will be included in your Box(es) for delivery day.
For example: If you are a Salad Box subscriber, you will receive the same three items as everyone else receives this week. But you can also visit the Shop to order a dozen eggs and a block of cheese to be included in your Box. (And suddenly, it's an Omelette Box!)
How do you source your products?
Our goal for this program is to provide our customers with local, healthy foods, and support Maine farmers and producers.
We're working directly with farmers and producers, as well as with Maine-based distributors, to purchase a variety of Maine-made products. As our program grows, we hope to continue building direct relationships with farmers and producers.
Are all of the products included in the Food Box certified organic?
A big piece of our mission is to support a sustainable food system in Maine. Where possible, we prioritize certified organic products and farms that practice organic methods over conventional alternatives. That said, not all of our products will be certified organic.
How long does the Pilot Program last?
In short: until further notice! We hope to continue taking on new customers each month and making adjustments to the program based on feedback.
